My Mission

My mission is to help women get EVERYTHING they want and DESERVE so they can experience deep intimacy and profound joy in their relationships. I do this by helping you find your most authentic self and learning how to express that vulnerably in relationships.

My Background

I have a Masters Degree from NYU in Health Education: Human Sexuality, Marriage and Family. I'm trained as a Sex and Relationship Coach with The Somatica Institute. l will be completing my certification with the Integrated Attachment Theory Program through the Personal Development School very soon. I'm eager to add this specialization in attachment theory to my coaching program, as processing attachment wounds is so critical to healing.

I worked in the nonprofit sector for many years, supporting outstanding organizations. While I was certainly making an impact in the world, my career didn't light me up. Coaching is my true calling! My drive to become a relationship and intimacy coach came from a very personal place, which I share below. I sought out The Somatica Institute Sex and Relationship Coaching Program so I could train to work with women who struggle, as I had, to find fulfillment and empowerment in their romantic and sexual relationships. I’m deeply passionate about this work.

My Journey to Healing...

My journey wasn’t a straight path; There were many turns along the way that brought me to a place of self love and worthiness and the love I have found in my relationship. But even now, I work at it every day!

When I was 14, I had an experience that dramatically changed the trajectory of my romantic and sexual life. I became a survivor of sexual assault. It was truly disorienting because I knew the person who did this to me. It took years for me to un-mask and un-do the shame and fear this experience left in my body, mind, and heart. My sense of safety was gone, and furthermore, my sense of power and agency was gone. I spent years not owning my own pleasure, being numb, being scared to ask for what I wanted, AND being terrified to say no to things I didn’t want.

I suffered in my relationships. I couldn’t speak my mind - I walked on eggshells. Unconsciously, I felt nobody would ever love me if I didn’t do exactly what they wanted, regardless of how that compromised my own inner harmony. I was very much a people pleaser. I bent myself to what I thought other people wanted from me. I spent years being attracted to unavailable men, accepting scraps of partnership for the hope of a potential future with someone incapable of true intimacy and genuine partnership. I had faulty belief patterns about what I deserved and what was possible. These beliefs and behavior patterns created so much self sabotage and sacrifice that my inner compass was truly as far away from my own true north as it could be. I lost my ability to hear myself and to trust myself.

I Sought Out Healing and Learning

My experiences drove me to seek out the learning that would help me heal, first as a client, and eventually as a coach. Becoming aware of what I had been doing for so many years was profound, but even more powerful was taking action. I started working with a coach who helped me finally value myself and stop self-sabotaging. I started recognizing when men were not showing up in the way I needed and deserved. It became easier to quickly move on to relationships that honored my worth. I stood up for my needs and desires. I have created deep trust in my own inner wisdom and built self-love that I practice every day.

I can finally hear my own inner voice! Healing my most tender wounds helped me find my true north again. Am I 100% healed? Probably not - I’m not sure anyone is ever 100% healed, but we can learn to live from our inner wisdom rather than our inner wounds. And we keep growing!

Through this work, I have developed secure attachment in a healthy nourishing relationship. As I learned to distinguish healthy and unhealthy signals, I transformed my attraction patterns and found the most beautiful man to share my life with. My husband is the kindest, most gentle, loving, and generous man I’ve ever known. I never walk on eggshells with him. And guess what - he is still soooo sexy! Yes it is possible - he is emotionally available and sexy as hell. I promise this exists!

If any part of my story resonates with you, please reach out for support. If you are single or in a relationship, I believe I can help you find love and pleasure from an empowered place. In our work together, my goal will be to support you in discovering exactly who you are and valuing your most authentic self, learning how to share yourself openly and vulnerably with others, and creating relationships that truly fulfill you. I’m here to tell you that you are not broken, even though you may feel off-center. Let’s work together to create the intimate relationships you desire and deserve!

My Amazing Life Now

I've called Santa Cruz home for 26 years, and I’m continually nourished by life among the redwoods and the ocean. I share that life with my incredible husband and Ginger, our endlessly loving golden retriever.
